This hydrating facial oil creates a new concept for skin care as it lightly and quickly absorbs into the skin while at the same time supplying nutrients. Contains Pomegranate oil rich in vitamins to keep the skin healthy, producing a moisturized and radiant skin texture.
It is also formulated with three herbal oils and four essential oils, blended by Napiers’ traditional method that has been handed down for 150 years. It provides nutrients to the skin, brightening a tired, dull, and uneven skin, while preventing dehydration and reducing skin dryness.

Mineral oil, Synthetic fragrance, Synthetic dyes, Synthetic preservatives, Animal-origin ingredients.

After cleansing, use it as the next step of toning. Dispense a sufficient amount on the palm and gently apply pressure with the palms, wrapping and patting the face with both hands for better absorption. It can also be mixed with a few drops with essence or cream.

Probably the closest thing from True Facial Oil is Bio Oil (HERE) which Bio Oil feels a bit heavier (doesn’t mean the product is heavy, but just a tad heavier than True Facial Oil), and intended to be used all over the body. While True Facial Oil is for, facial use.

The general usage of True Facial Oil involved in not just around skincare but mixing it with face base or foundation already become a legend.

Like mentioned in the prelude True Facial Oil is super duper light and penetrate on the skin almost instantly, and the immediate effect I see and feel is when the skin become so much softer and smoother than ever before. It feels really good and comforting.

The scent is delicate and fresh, not yet in a berry scent of juicy but there’s a hint of fruits there. The scent doesn’t last long on the skin but the effect is.

Overall, I love how light the True Facial Oil is, so when it touches the skin there’s not a trace of leftover, just result. It almost felt like water, yes, the lightness is even comparable to h2o. Soft smooth skin in an instant and use it daily to see the skin getting even softer and smoother you’ll forget how rough the skin was. The oil also enhance the sense of touch, feels better and looks better too. Like the skin become calmer and away from stress. Radiant (away from greasy), relaxed and when mixed with makeup, the particle of makeup become softer, easier to blend and looks better on the skin as well.

In the end, a must have product for anyone who love their skin.

The Silky Lips Magic Pink Lip Balm is the one in pink packaging and white balm. The balm is melting on the touch of the lips, like butter on a hot pan. The mints is so cooling, wow, menthol indeed. I understand why they say it is fun to be used.

Mine is in 08 Strawberry and on the lips it’s like sheer strawberry color, suitable for daily use for looking so light and the moisturizing effect as well. Feels a bit oily on the lips, I like to dab a tissue a bit so I don’t look like I just ate something greasy.

But, when I dabbed the tissue on the lips there’s not a dot of color there, just a clear balm. So probably the balm shade come out when reacted by … warmth?

So I tried to draw them on a piece of paper, the Magic Pink Lip Balm looks purplish while the Color Lip Balm 04 Romantic Pink is … pink on the paper ^__^

Pink on the lips and feels like a lip balm too. Moist, not as moist as the Magic Pink Lip Balm but still moist like a regular lip balm on the market.

The shade last for 3 hours and the lips stay moisturized. The color is bolder than the Magic Pink Lip Balm but not as pigmented as other lipstick. So still, SILKYGIRL is in their comfort zone in giving us a light cosmetics suitable for daily use and those whose young (at heart and real life) and a touch of caring with the nourishing oil and shea butter in it.

Overall, both of the Silky Lips products give the lips a silky feeling, moist and felt pampered. The Magic Pink Lip Balm have minty fresh sensation with sheer red color while Lipcolor gives the lips a bolder lips almost like a lipstick with a feeling also almost like the Magic Pink Lip Balm. Both product easily crumbled and the shape is smaller than my lips, too small perhaps, I wish it come on bigger form like regular lip balm, but maybe this product is made for teens or young customers with smaller lips.

Next on line, I’m trying the Shine-free Loose Powder, mine is 02 Natural Medium.

 A translucent loose powder for that finishing touch after your liquid foundation. This product gives you a soft and natural look. Eliminates shine with its oil-free formula. Available in 2 Asian shades.

The loose powder is easily used and the shade is a bit darker than my natural skin shade, so it looks like I’ve been spending hours at the beach. Aside from the color the loose powder does gives me a mattefying effect for around 4-6 hours in normal condition (inside building and not in heavy movement such as exercising). The powder is not super fine, so be careful when using it, brush is preferred than the given puff for better result.

Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer

Hello!

Another item from Mario Badescu given to me by Luxola. And have I run out compliments for them? Not yet! This is another wonderful product that both me and my husband enjoys. My combination to dry skin loves the velvety smooth feeling and my husband oily, acne prone skin enjoy the simplicity and lightness.

Yes, it’s the Oil Free Moisturizer from Mario Badescu.

The cream looks thick and dense but after touching it, I understand how light it is and on the skin also easily distributed. There are some whitish at first when massaged on the skin but then turns clear after evened, This is truly an oil free moisturizer, I love how it somehow create a veil on the skin, veil of moisturizer of course but on the touch is so soft and smooth. Unlike most moisturizer, there are still a bit of stickiness to it where at least we have to wait a few minutes. This one is not at all. In a matter of seconds the oil free moisturizer show it’s true form of oil free. 

Oily skin owner like my hubby and acne prone too, plus sensitive as well, uses the oil free moisturizer from Mario Badescu and like it as much as I do. The feeling is light and very comfortable. Gentle to the skin, provide hydration without oils and the skin feels supple and just nice. 

I used it as a day moisturizer and prefer something heavier or richer for night time, while for the one with oily skin may uses it all day and night long according to the skin’s need and it’s a product that can be use to moisturizes all skin type for the unclogging property. Loves it!

The Face Shop Quick & Clean (Toner and Mild Emulsion)

Another review about skincare from The Face Shop, these two are the result of my beauty swap with Hanna ^__^

 Here’s some details from the packaging.

Sebum Control Toner

This non-sticky, astringent toner formulated with Tea Tree Oil, lemon Oil, and Chamomile extract absorbs quickly to regulate sebum production for exquisitely clean skin.

Directions: Moisten cotton ball with toner and apply using gentle, outward strokes. Pat T-zone skin for added benefit.

Mild Emulsion

This refreshingly mild emulsion is uniquely formulated with Tea Tree Oil, Bisabolol and Sodium Hyaluronate to instantly soothe, hydrate and heal skin while the senses delight in the revitalizing fragrance of tea tree.

The glass bottles is a bit heavy yet look luxurious, I love both of the scent, tea tree and lemony ^__^
Definitely fresh in terms of scent but on the facial skin, not really.

Here are the texture of the emulsion (in milky dew shape) and the toner (clear watery dew). The toner is light and mildly refreshing but I can’t seems to understand the word exquisite clean. For me it was moderately clean for my dry combination skin type.

It wasn’t drying, so the toner is pretty much comfortable even for my dry skin but still, it is best to be used daily for those with normal to oily skin type or combination oily skin. However those with very oily skin wont be satisfy with the product. Especially when adding the mild emulsion. It is a bit (just a tad) sticky on the skin too. For the skin to absorbed the mild emulsion itself tooks time. Perhaps since there’s mineral oil in the ingredient’s list or other ingredients that causes the mild emulsion feels heavy . … er than mild. Not really heavy but not mild either, since after emulsion, moisturizer is still needed.

Conclusion, if I have to choose then the toner is my choice as it does gives the skin a clean feeling. Both products smells great and refreshing but not really gives the skin a clean feeling that I expected. I’ll give them 6,5 out of 10 points.

TALIKA Skin Retouch Product Review

The good news is you’re about to see the wonderful effect of Skin Retouch, it’s like your naked skin being improved, tailored, fixed, renovated, etc . . . so it appears finer, smoother, softer, matte and well, in photoshop world, like being retouch.

After reading the previous post, with me on a full make up, now take a deep breath and behold ^0^ Aaaaaaaa!

I was really amazed haha, anyone who have this product really need to test their skin half and half.

Now, let’s digest it,

the white turns clear on the skin and as it dries up it gives the skin a slightly pulled feeling, like a mask, which will slowly become loosen as the hours goes by. The cream can be used alone or best with a loose powder, no, you’re not advice to used foundation or other cream after this one as Skin Retouch already ‘envelope’ our skin.

The matte effect will be a major benefit that everyone will looked for as instant result and the matte effect stays on for more than 8 hours, yes, it is impressive and I can clearly says more than 8 hours since now it is more than 8 hours and my skin still look matte without drying them.

The coverage is natural and unlike tinted moisturizer or foundation which can be heavy, uneven, or unnatural, Skin Retouch is clearly looks natural. And I’m longing for the long term benefit as well

My skin looks flawless as the cream really fill up the large pores and fine lines.

Wonderful!!! Highly recommended and I’ll be back with before after pictures with several victims member of my family so you’ll see how universal and unisex this product is ^__^

Essentials Immediate Rescue Stick by Ultima II

Hi all!

Living in a hot and humid land means sweats and grease on the skin almost most of the time. Which I also have and it’s not cool nor fun.

So I try many product that tackle the oily t-zone without being too harsh on the dry cheeks.

These are my before look with my oily forehead and nose. And the heat is making it worst, the sweat become sticky and it ain’t pretty. Making makeup clumps and blotting is needed.

And I just happen to have this Immediate Rescue Stick from Ultima II (from their event), the product long tube is super cute and so does the color.

Instantly dries, purifies, and soothes the skin. Helps to reduce the appearance of local skin imperfections.
To use:
Apply locally. Reapply during the day if necessary.

I’m using it directly on the affected part (affected means oily) and it does instantly dries out, but on some parts that are really oily, it’s still a bit sticky, really just a bit. The scent at first felt fresh but after a while it turn kinda nasty. Like (sorry) acid from vomit. It’s just unbearable for me. So I wipe it all out after 5 minutes.

I don’t know if maybe it’s just me, but it is unpleasant for me. There’s some kind of sharpness of the acidity (clueless where it is from).

Will I use it again? Unfortunately, no. I can’t stand the smell 😦

But maybe it’s just me, my sis claims her nose was fine with it … (trying to be neutral and objective), bottom line, it’s your call 🙂

I try it on my T zone and now after 7 hour has passed the T zone remain sebum free and smooth ^^ makeup can last longer in those area now ^0^ super happy!

Last but definitely not least, and which I think a product that can be used for anyone (my skin is combination to dry) I also use for day time, is the moisturizer.I’ve done the review for the moisturizer –> HERE.

Still, I give you a before after picture and overall review after using all 4. The skin which previously a bit oily on T zone area become no longer oily. The cheek which is dry are happy with the hydration. Like mentioned above I use Aquasource for dry skin at night time and only use Pure.Fect for day time. I still have to admit this product is really meant for those with combination to oily skin. They’ll love and get the most benefit from Pure.Fect for being (far) less oily, contained antibacterial ingredients for less acne and breakouts, and yet gives hydration on the skin. It’s like a complete set.


For those who doesn’t have oily skin, but occasionally have acne/pimple can use Targeted Solution only on the acne/pimple and it will help dries up the problematic area and again, the antibacterial agents helps kill the germs too.


Moisturizing wise? On some days (when I’m not lazy) I use the hydrating gel for my T zone and gives my U zone Aquasource ^^ both of the area are happy and get what they need (want).


Conclusion? Finally, a skincare for oily skin that gives more love than striping it dry.

The instruction is super easy and you can’t hardly found any difficulties. Just clean your face, use toner and serum of your choice and apply this wonderful gel.

In my mind I was thinking of something like Aquasource, read it –> HERE. Where it is really in a gel form and color. Pure-Fect Skin is milky white. But still in terms of texture, it was like a gel, a milky white gel.

So I pump twice and Ooh, I’m melting in happiness, the scent of this refreshing gel is like L’Eau Par Kenzo Pour Femme and Eau Vitaminee combined. I love it so much.

I hope you all can see the after picture clearly, the before and after. On before, my face is cleaned, toned and for the serum I use Skin.Ergetic, read it –> HERE. Then when I use it the milky white gel just melt like snow touching a warm skin. And after distributing, can’t you see that glow on my cheek? They are real and this pictures are untouched with any editing process. You can see the redness on some parts (if I edited the picture, I will edit those redness and make my skin tone more even).

So there it is, a healthy happy glowing skin. They are definitely not oily, it was a pure hydration that is perfect for those with combination skin and oily skin as well for being so light yet boost the hydration level needed. The skin looks refreshed (I also recommend to use it with Skin.Ergetic for added liveliness or any other serum by Biotherm for other effect), rejuvenated and perfect for the heat and humidity in Jakarta. It scream summer all over the world, so everyone, this is a must have item for you this summer \^0^/ and for the rest of us in this tropical land, it is a daily moisturizer.

For me, since I have combination to dry skin, I use the product for day use, and for night time Aquasource still my best friend since it gives me more moisture and hydration needed for more than 8 hours in an air-conditioned room and sleeping.

Conclusion: I love the anti bacterial property, I adore the scent, I’m head over heels crazy for the sensation when using it and it is another perfect product for anyone who loves their skin. Definitely a 5 stars product (perfect score!)

Nu Skin pH Balance Mattefying Toner – Product Review

This is the first Nu Skin product that I’ve used and reviewed 🙂 At first I kinda doubt when a certain magazine handed me these (yup, not just one product but several) it’s just I never heard of the brand before but apparently after googling about Nu Skin it seems like they’ve been around for 27 years. And as seen on the picture above, I’ve been using the product for a while (half bottle down now), so here’s the review:

Nu Skin Skin pH Balance Mattefying Toner are made for combination to oily skin, and yup, it’s not really my skin type, so I don’t blame on the product when it’s kinda drying for me. The good news is that if you have an combination to oily skin you’ll find this product help mattefying your skin as it does to my sometime oily t-zone. Another good news is that they are still gentle to my dry cheeks. Gentle, but not needed as they are so dry already. So normally I just use moisturizer that is really hydrating for my skin after this toner.

The product is a kinda light blue in color with white powdery thingy on the bottom that you need to shake before use. Then the result is a cloudy milky light blue liquid like shown above. The scent is mild and faintly, I don’t think anyone would ever mind since it is far from annoying but I can’t figure it out between fresh or fruity, it is somewhere in between. The white mineral powder is oil absorbing alright, it gives me a light matte effect too.

Will I keep using the product? Nope, my skin don’t need it. But I do recommend it for those suffering from combination (normal and oily) to oily skin. I gave this toner to my husband now, which he have oily skin and they’ll have a great relationship ^__^

Will I keep trying other Nu Skin products? Yes, and next it will be something that suitable for my skin type.
