After reviewing the original formula, where one drop locks an ocean HERE, now I’m back with the Whitening series.

Here’s some details from

Here they are, the lotion is runnier than the hydrating series. Really like water drops. The milk in term of texture is kinda the same with the hydrating milk. Hmm, I can’t say they have instant brightening or whitening effect, but I can clearly they are mild and doesn’t cause any irritation or sensitivity or problems that usually caused by conventional whitening products that promote skin regeneration by pushing it too far, forcing the skin to flake off.

I’ll try to keep using it on areas that I think have many brown spots and need to be fair-er. Like the upper side of my arms, I have a lot of dark spots there because it’s the area that often exposed without ehm . . . using a sun protection daily (now I do have Skin Aqua =^__^=). But I’m aware it takes more than a week usage, our skin normal timing is 28 days. For now, so far so good.

Now the face wash. Let me deliberate in comparison mode, as below:

It is almost the same, in fact if both are presented next to each other without the tube, I wont know the differences. Both have no scent, both are a white creamy texture, both are so light and easily lathers up into light foams. But here’s one interesting fact that I found. I wash my right hand with hydrating face wash and the left side with whitening face wash, both feels the same but after rinsing, the whitening shows an immediate effect. My left hand become fairer than the right. The effect is not permanent, it was like right after the wash and slowly back into the original shade, but it was quite exciting for me heehee.


All the products here is very gentle and mild to the skin. As their commitment they still bring simplicity into their range, the hydration and whitening as well. For the whitening wise, don’t expect it to be instant, patience is the key. Somehow the skin looks more alive and healthier, like literally just take a dose of vitamins and prep the way for makeup.

Add some loose powder, and good to go! No need adding piles of heavy makeup since it will block the gorgeous looking skin within.

I’m back with Hada Labo collection, currently in Indonesia Hada Labo carries 3 range, this is one of them, the one that start it all, the one that create a lot of buzz out there, and it’s the one and only ………….  The hydrating or moisturizing range.

I’ve done a review for the face wash a while ago, back in my Singapore days.

And here’s more, a set that I get from Hada Labo Indonesia, the lotion and milk too.

And here are the texture and review.

The lotion is clear, water like with more weight, it’s like a halfway going into gel-form. Gives the skin instant hydration, unique and unlike toner where sometime may dries the skin, the lotion gives moist and supple effect. No fuss, no frill, no scent either, just pure hydrating to the skin.

I can see why people are head over heels on the lotion alone. As it is low in irritating ingredients, gentle to the touch and for those who have dry skin? Instant comfort too as the lotion does relieve the skin from dryness. Those cracking and chapped skin? They’ll enjoy the lotion the most. No, I’m not suggesting anyone to wait until the skin dehydrated to use the lotion, use it as a prevention too.

Now the milk. A milky lotion, not cream not gel, a milky lotion. So easy to absorb and suitable to be use with almost all skin type. In Jakarta where humidity and heat take part, this milky lotion might be the correct form to hydrate the skin every day. The milk easily spread on the skin and leaves no trace of dryness anymore. The skin hydrated longer with the light feeling. If you’re not used to using any moisturizing then this would be a perfect solution for you.

The 3 items here will gives the skin:

 A clean hydrated feeling that can be used with any skin type, dry skin preferably but yes, still any skin will need hydration. As the lightness of the 3 items, even oily skin will enjoy the light hydrating effect, you do know that oily skin is caused by lack of water/hydration.

My advice? Try them and experience why is it a big hit (and it’s not just because the price is very affordable).

A few days ago, I was invited by The Body Shop Indonesia. It was for the 100% Cruelty Free Campaign which I thought going to be a bit boring and cliche…where later I was proven to be so wrong.

Cruelty Free International mengajak pelanggan The Body Shop Indonesia untuk ikut melarang dunia menggunakan hewan sebagai bahan percobaan kosmetik

Perjanjian global untuk melarang pengujian terhadap hewan untuk kebutuhan kosmetik akan diluncurkan di seluruh toko The Body Shop di Indonesia. Hal ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari program kampanye Cruelty Free International, yaitu organisasi global pertama yang didedikasikan untuk menghentikan penggunaan hewan sebagai bahan percobaan kosmetik di seluruh dunia.
Perjanjian global ini akan tersedia di seluruh toko The Body Shop di hampir 65 negara. Ini adalah kampanye terbesar dan paling ambisius yang pernah ada untuk mencegah secara global penggunaan hewan untuk uji kelayakan kosmetik. Selain melibatkan 275 juta pengunjung toko-toko The Body Shop, Cruelty Free International juga akan terhubung langsung dengan situs The Body Shop, yang juga diakses jutaan pelanggan setiap tahunnya.
Saat ini di dunia belum ada larangan terhadap pengujian hewan untuk kosmetik dan lebih dari 80% produsen dengan kejam masih menggunakan hewan sebagai bahan percobaan. Peraturan kosmetik di Indonesia diatur oleh  Cosmetic Directive ASEAN, sangat mirip dengan EU Cosmetics Directive. I just found out that lipstick use lady bug as an ingredients, ooh poor them. At the event, TBS also presents us with the video of animal cruelty in the cosmetic world.

The title of the video is “The Ugly Truth” (not the Hollywood movie)

As seen, TBS brought series of product that uses animal’s part, including fish scales and pony’s hair. It’s like an eye opener for me, I guess all these times I know the truth, but kept one eye shut, since ehm . . . it is easier like that. But it’s creepy, super creepy.

TBS opens the possibilities of looking and feeling good in a much higher level, where beauty doesn’t have to harm other creatures.

Wth Lily Cole, oh wait, who is Lily Cole? Apparently she is a model and actress from UK that take a whole lotta part in many different causes, including environment and now animal cruelty. So she join TBS and designing some of the products under her name including picking the tones as well. You’ll see how her creativity flows and I’m even thinking, these are not made by TBS. Her characteristic and hey, purple eye liners? So not TBS.

Like the gorgeous model says “Guilt-free cosmetics” and she is right. Responsibility has been taken further, TBS has done the community a just and fair trading, very active in many positive propaganda and now 100% Cruelty Free too.

This is my before look, a simple base only.

Straight to the eyes.

The shade used is mixed of brown and pink.

Then she blend everything together in a jiffy.

These are the result after using the 4 colors in those cubes.

Added the eye liner

It dries pretty fast and waterproof too.

Add some blushes

And I’m done. Thank youuuuu ^__^

With pink signature tone they look so cute and girly.

The powder, Lip & Cheek Dome and oh yes, makeup base, you’ve gotta see and try, it’s like a primer too with soft shimmering effect.

Above is the shimmer powder (Puff on Radiance) , somewhat like a finishing powder too but love the natural effect and the picture of my hand with pinkish gooey things? That’s Pearl Radiance Primer. Crush the pearls and get that pearly glow as the base. I might have to work a bit in crushing them but the effect is shimmery and velvety smooth.

A post just for lips is here, none other with the products from Lip On Lip that I recently got from the event with Skin Aqua. Same big company as in Rohto.

The first thing is Pure Lips, a simple lip balm in a shape like a lipstick, I wish they made it cuter in terms of packaging since the product itself is quite cute. Bergamot and a whola lotta beeswax. I event let my 7 yr old gal use it when her lips are chappy. We both enjoy the citrus scent, smoothness and even thou’ it’s a bit oily, it helps the skin on the lips to heal.

It can also be used as lube for scrubbing the lips. Use a lot of them, just keep applying on the lips until it felt ‘too much’ then get some sugar and scrub it up. Clean the leftover with cotton pad or rinse it up with warm water. Result? A smooth lips. After the scrubbing process, use the lip balm again, it will appeared much more glossy.

Beside Lip Balm, Lip on Lip also carries water color, here’s some details from Rohto Indonesia:

But hey, if you’re looking for a plumped skin anytime, it can be use anytime as well.

Last week I was invited to SKIN AQUA Beauty Talk

They want to introduce the products that have been here for months and officially greet us as bloggers for Skin Aqua.

Skin Aqua comes in 4 types:

The event at Tartine, will soon begin, in anticipation the whole room is filled with beauty bloggers.

None of us completely clueless about Skin Aqua, but we want to hear more. There is also a machine that can check our aging process due to the sun, it was so crowded, I didn’t get a chance to try it.
Some bloggers are afraid since the result is scary heehee.

But sun does gives us ‘scary’ skin if we didn’t protect our skin from the bad rays. Not all rays are bad, only some. Skin Aqua protects us from some bad rays from the sun.

Ms Ditta (Skin Aqua) , Fukura Akiyoshi (PT.Rohto) , and Arinda Christ. They are the hosts, they are sharing product details from Skin Aqua, the background of the company and current trends.

These are the main attraction in the event. Skin Aqua products. We were able to try them on the spot and some other brand from PT. Rohto such as Lip on Lip.

Since my skin is dry, I get mine in UV Mild Milk. And actually, this is not my first time using Aqua Skin, in Singapore and Japan the product is widely used and available in almost all beauty store, I’ve try them when I still lived in Singapore years ago and amazed by how light Aqua Skin is.


What makes Skin Aqua different from sun block? The ingredients! Skin Aqua mainly focused on hydration, that’s why it is called Skin Aqua . . . Aqua, as in H2O. Skin Aqua also contains Vit E and Collagen that beneficial to our skin. We’ve heard a lot about Hyaluronic Acid as it brings hydration, in Skin Aqua the Hyaluronic Acid has been modified to absorb better  and stays longer on the skin. Skin Aqua can be used daily and not just ‘can be used’, they are beneficial to our skin. Protects from the bad rays of the sun, moist and hydrated the skin, and with the Vit E, an antioxidant to the skin too.


I get 4 samples sizes as well, but 2 are the same, so 3 of them are UV Moisture Milk, UV Whitening Milk and UV Mild Milk. Take note only the UV Moisture Milk contains SPF 50 PA+++ while the others are SPF 25 PA ++ and SPF 20 PA ++, so the UV Moisture Milk is the highest SPF in all three (four if including Moisture Gel SPF 30 PA ++)


Here’s what’s amazing, in terms of texture, UV Moisture Milk is the lightest while UV Mild Milk turns to be the creamiest, perfect for dry skin.

But all three are comfortable and delightful to be used daily. Take note that they are not sun blocks ya, so if you stays in the beach for hours when the sun is up there, or other kind of outdoor sports, please use sun blocks instead of Skin Aqua. Skin Aqua is perfect to be used daily, indoors and normal exposure of outdoor without being too much.

Say good bye to sticky sun block, say hello to Skin Aqua for daily use, comfortable, smooth, soft skin protected from the sun.

Smoothly draws a long-lasting line of concentrated colour to dramatically emphasize eyes.

Comes in two shades:
Black, which is mine 

I wish the stick comes in longer version but I have no complain at all with the brush, only the tip end is movable with the rest stays firms, so when applied it can give finer lines without fail. It wont keep running into wide lines.

The cream is thick indeed, I thought it look thick but not that thick, it was ‘that’ thick.


I tried playing around with the wider side first and as usual before actually use the product, blend it well at the back of my hand first. It’s not easy since the consistency of the cream but it definitely gives me a bold darkest black.

Variety of result from the brush, wide side, thin line from using the horizontally, and when blending it.

Based on the thin line it was not easy to keep a straight full line with even darkness, some bold, some fading. Some even like dots after dots. I don’t think it is possible to create a full line at one stroke, it need multiple times.

I’ve tried the brush on my eye lines as well and I love how the brush still gentle enough given how firm it is. But again the inconsistency, I have to apply several time for a full line. Since the cream is thick and heavy, a primer is essential, it helps the cream to glide smoother and finer too.

Wait around 2-3 minutes for the liner to be completely dry and it will set for the whole day. It depends on how many the cream applied, the thinner it is, the faster it dries and so on.

Waterproof? It was tough! Like really tough, I try to rub it as well, rinse with a bit of soap, it stays on the skin, like stays there for good . . .  until a makeup remover comes of course.

Clean to sublime expert serum make up remover is a precise and efficient removal step to get rid of even the strongest makeup, impurities and beautify the skin in just one gesture.

How to use:

On dry skin apply the milky pinkish light cream and massage with the fingertips. Remove any excess without the need of water.

I draw some waterproof eyeliner from Shiseido, it was really waterproof. Wait for the eyeliner to set and dry before put a bit of Clean To Sublime on a dry skin.

Just like using any cleansing oil, massage them well and take you time so the cleanser have time to ‘crack’ down the makeup and ‘melts’

Grab a cotton pad or a facial tissue and swipe it off, it’s gone!

Massage the rest with more of the cleanser and everything is taken off. I’ve tried using a lipstick, foundation, eye shadows, blush on, and everything on the skin, it’s gone, but, there’s one but, I’m not recommending the product for usage on eye’s area.

Benefit: No matter how lazy I am, I can just massage Clean To Sublime with dry hands and to the skin directly without the need of water and getting wet. Convenient to be use anywhere and anytime. Plane and traveling is my ‘favorite’ places as water is limited and during those exhausting nights when trips to the bathroom seems kilometers away.

With the effectiveness and gentleness of Clean To Sublime, I’m recommending the products just about to anyone who use makeup ^0^
