Category: Make Up Remover

Hi lovelies,

here is the second event last weekend, with shu uemura Indonesia, it’s ob.

-*-

Every now and then shu uemura keep collaborating with artist and other iconic designer to make a new items and new design to decorate their must have collections, from the cleansing oil to the mousse.

-*-

Since they launched near the spring somehow the collections reminds me of sakura, mamechiyo, and a whole lotta girlie girl princess theme. They are pretty alright and the opposite collection from gothic mon shu girl. Which reminds me of one thing, these collection once sold out, they are gone alright. I remember back in Dec 2012, I want to get myself an eyelash curler with mon shu girl attached, thinking I could wait for a while and later, I have missed those precious moments. So the next time I see something I like from shu uemura limited editions, be sure to get it while it’s hot off the press.

-*-

Featuring 4 princesses, moon, ocean, forest and sakura princess. They are dressed and have their hair colored accordingly.

-*-

There are many collectibles here, from the compact case to the falsies. So cuteee!!!

-*-

The full collections can be seen at their images, but the ones that made it in Indonesia are these:

-*-

After looking at those super duper cute irresistible items, I see the demo makeup is finished, and here she is in sakura mode:

-*-

And I also want some sakura attached to the eyes, so Ms. Dwi create an ocean sakura for me ^^

-*-

Thank you Ms. Dwi and please do take a look at her makeup too, wow! All of the colors of the moon, forest, ocean and sakura are all there.

-*-

Then, we have a chance to get a bookmark made freshly by the artists invited. Psst! These artists are using shu uemura’s products as their tools, so they create shapes and colors with the eyebrow pencils, lipstick, eyeshadow, and many more.

-*-

Thank you shu uemura Indonesia for having me at the event and don’t forget to see you soon at Mal Kelapa Gading on the 25th of May 2013!!!

Hello ladies,

I think by now the brand Paula’s Choice has been heard several times by many beauty bloggers. And since years ago they did land in Indonesia. So they offer me to try some samples from their skincare, cosmetics, and body series.

Sachets samples are given, so I can’t say much about them, just first experiences. And I wont share many details as well since I can’t share much within the 2-5 ml(s) items. Rest assure all of them are available at www.paulaschoice.com

-*-

There are: Optimal result hydrating cleanser, weekly resurfacing treatment (10% AHA), Daily smoothing treatment (5% AHA), Skin recovery moisturizer, Advanced replenish toner, Skin recovery daily moisturizing lotion with SPF 15, Skin recovery moisturizer, and Resist pure radiance skin brightening treatment, skin recovery super antioxidant concentrate serum.

There are a number of trial and errors since the team from Paula’s Choice Indonesia doesn’t exactly know my skin condition, so the first batch of cleanser for dry skin doesn’t work well on me. Maybe it is for a super dry skin with flakiness. On me the cleanser leave so many leftovers, even for daily debris. When I swipe a cotton of toner, there will be residue of the stuff left uncleaned.

The toner is okay and hydrating, this one I can use, but a big no no for anything with AHA and BHA from Paula’s Choice. I can’t stand it. The BHA immediately causes the hands to feel numb and itchy, while the AHA on the face causing acne.

The serum and moisturizer is okay but I dislike the scent and the super rich texture. In the end the first batch ends in almost failure. However, the Paula’s team in Indonesia are not a bunch of people who would easily gave up on me, and so do I. I think it’s just a matter of finding the right products for my skin.

The only thing from the first batch that I haven’t try is the Resist pure radiance skin brightening treatment, which I’ll share with you along with the second batch.

-*-

So on the second batch they send me more items. Most of them works really well on my skin, so yes, there’s a progress in finding my match ^^. The first item I’ve tried is the Gentle touch makeup remover. It works really well in cleaning the makeup, from the base (look at the image above) and even waterproof mascara and eyeliners (image below) without causing the skin to stress out. No discomfort, no allergies, no itchiness, just a good gentle yet effective cleanser. This is what I need.

-*-

And then I followed up with a Moisture boost one step face cleanser and failed. It doesn’t help me in cleaning the residue, and when I use it again the day after without any makeup on, so just for cleaning daily residue (sebum, daily dirts, etc) it still left some. So when I swipe a cotton pad filled with toner, there are dirt, and I can feel the sebum are untouched. I know the difference between a cleanser that does a great job in cleaning yet the skin still feels so moist and soft and supple, but this moisture boost one step face cleanser left too much, even the skin doesn’t feel clean.

-*-

Now, how about the rest? The Beautiful body butter is a simple body butter without that oily effect that most body butter have. Suitable for those with sensitive skin since it contain no fragrance whatsoever, I need fragrance on my toiletries heehee! So, I think that’s the only low point on this particular item. The while body butter is easily apply without any stickiness nor grease, so hooray for that.

Wow! It’s been up and down hasn’t it?! It is the reality of skincare and other products, some does work on me, while some just doesn’t. The following item works well on me too, the one item from the first batch I haven’t try: Resist pure radiance skin brightening treatment. This pearly glow product is like a wonder. easily applied on the skin and sunk in leaving the skin soft and for the 5x1ml I can’t say anything about the effective brightening effect, but so far, none from this item bothers me. I love the texture, the feeling on my skin, the natural scent from the ingredients, it is lovely and I’ll keep using it for sure.

Last but not least is the Barely there sheer matte tint in sheer ivory, hmm, it was a tone too dark on me. I look like I just spend a day in the sun on the beach. And for me it’s not barely there, it was  completely there, the coverage is sheer but the feeling is thicker than barely there. After a while, the skin feels itchy too. So, I don’t think this is my favorite product either.

I have one more item, and it’s not a sample size (yippie!!). A Weightless body treatment to help treat my sis’s keratosis pilaris condition on her upper arms. It will be discuss and deliberated on my next post, it might take a while, since a thorough review take weeks up to a month of usage before posting.

So far I have up and down experiences with Paula’s Choice products, but I think since they do have a wide varieties of the products I can choose, I’m still positive in finding more items that are made for me.

Thank you.

Hello beauty lover,

The brand continues to develop and creating more even thou he has passed away. Same passion and driven move the company forward. The skin and all their complexity.

-*-

Yes, it’s the cleansing oil. A product that begin unveiling Shu’s world to the customer.

-*-

Unmask, a cleansing oil that able to clean all heavy makeup in ago, delicate to the skin yet tough on makeups.

-*-

Over the years, the product change packaging and making better formula and adding different ingredients to add more variations and range to support varieties of skin conditions.

-*-

These are the reasons why they are sought after.

-*-

The principles behind the oil and how it works on the skin.

-*-

Like a soft white cloud, it removes all impurities from the skin.

-*-

Natural plant extracts and ingredients, it’s not just a cleanser, it’s a skincare as well.

-*-

Based on research and high technology, the formula are made, and below are the ones we may find on Shu Uemura’s counters all over the world and official online store.

A simple introduction on how to use the product as 1-2-3-4.

Ola everybody \^0^/

I hope to day is a great day for everyone, if it doesn’t, just swipe all the hardship away and rejoice ^__^

Have a clean heart is always good, same goes with a clean face after abundant makeup are put on heehee.

Za Eye and Lip Makeup Remover is here for your service.

-*-

Details from www.za-cosmetics.com:

EYE & LIP MAKEUP REMOVER

Dual-phase makeup remover 100mL

Surely removes waterproof eye and lip makeup and leaves the skin smooth with no oily feeling.Moist texture.

-*-

Before usage make sure to shake the bottle well so the two part become one, and it will be like this cloudy liquid, a mix between water and oil.

-*-

Use a cotton and pour some, depends on how much you need it to be, but on the eyes, please be careful as don’t let any of them drip to inside the eyes. Just made sure the cotton is damp, not drenched.

-*-

I’ve gathered mascara, eyeliners, lipstick, eye shadows, waterproof eyeliners, pencil eyeliners, crayon eyeliners, eyebrow colors, etc just for this test alone.

Let them sit for a while and made sure all are dried and set. I give them a chance to have a grip.

-*-

Then gently swipe the cotton, this is what happen after the first swipe, the waterproof makeup will stay holding on, reluctant to leave their place.

-*-

After several rubbing action with the cotton (without adding more remover) all of them doesn’t have the chance to fight back. Result? A clean skin, free from all makeup.

-*-

I continue with the rest of the products on my hand and they are gone alright, leaving the skin oily. For me it is impossible to just leave the condition like this and double wash with a foaming facial wash.

Overall,

A gentle makeup remover for the eye and lips. Easily cleans everything including the hard to crack waterproof products, but it leaves the skin oily, so use a foaming facial wash afterwards to remove all oiliness left behind.

Balms Away

Hi babes,

this is one of the item promised to be reviewed after this post about dazzling Marilyn (HERE), the Balms Away, an eye makeup breakup.

That’s the product, a simple rounded jar, which reminds me a lot of a good old days where vintage is IN, and again, they are IN again now. Who could resists the sexy pin ups and curvy gals?!

Details from www.thebalm.com:

Easy to used and works really really well. I’ve tested it on one of my strongest, waterproof, water resistant, smudge proof, tear proof, sweat proof, rain or shine kinda mascara and eyeliners where other products usually admit defeat, clean minimum, or clean majority but left a few part still untouched.

Just use a bit and work between the fingers first and let them melt like butter . . . or petroleum jelly. Then close the eyes and gently massage the balm all through the lashes and careful not to insert the balm into the eyes.

Use a facial tissue, not cotton, as cotton will breaks apart and ended up picking up the fine threads of cotton to be more homework than actually helping.

Gently swipe the tissue over the breaking mascara and eyeliners, or any other waterproof makeup, and I can see darkness disappears. I use my foaming facial foam afterwards yet some still left there since the balm are so close to the eyeballs. But overnight (since usually I use Balms Away at night) it made my lashes feel so soft, delicate and lustrous. I think it’s a cleanser with skincare lash-care benefit as well.

Great product that help removes falsies glue as well.

Hi everyone,

this particular item is definitely not a new thing on the block, it has been around for a while but I haven’t get my hands on it ’till now.

Reading how many bloggers seems to love it as a makeup remover and daily cleanser, I tried it on.

-*-

The packaging is simple and cute, very Japanese, maybe due to all the kanji written heehee. I have high expectation to the product since it can clean everything, from sun protection, makeup and daily debris. Hopefully it help save the time and money too, no more double cleansing or triple cleansing, or is it?

-*-

I’ve tried to find the product details on their official website but failed to find one, maybe since the product no longer available out there or change into something new.

-*-

But in Indonesia the product still available in major supermarket.

-*-

A milky liquid and smells flowery, feels a bit thick and sticky, easily mixed with water and bubbles up. The lathers is fluffy after working on it for a while.

-*-

The result?

It doesn’t clean all the makeup like I long for. The waterproof mascara and eyeliner are still there. I still have to do a double cleansing with a cleansing oil to get all the waterproof makeup to be completely cleaned.

Overall,
It does cleans daily debris and sun protection (after 2 wash), smells good but  . . . not really a makeup remover for a waterproof makeup.

Clean to sublime expert serum make up remover is a precise and efficient removal step to get rid of even the strongest makeup, impurities and beautify the skin in just one gesture.

How to use:

On dry skin apply the milky pinkish light cream and massage with the fingertips. Remove any excess without the need of water.

I draw some waterproof eyeliner from Shiseido, it was really waterproof. Wait for the eyeliner to set and dry before put a bit of Clean To Sublime on a dry skin.

Just like using any cleansing oil, massage them well and take you time so the cleanser have time to ‘crack’ down the makeup and ‘melts’

Grab a cotton pad or a facial tissue and swipe it off, it’s gone!

Massage the rest with more of the cleanser and everything is taken off. I’ve tried using a lipstick, foundation, eye shadows, blush on, and everything on the skin, it’s gone, but, there’s one but, I’m not recommending the product for usage on eye’s area.

Benefit: No matter how lazy I am, I can just massage Clean To Sublime with dry hands and to the skin directly without the need of water and getting wet. Convenient to be use anywhere and anytime. Plane and traveling is my ‘favorite’ places as water is limited and during those exhausting nights when trips to the bathroom seems kilometers away.

With the effectiveness and gentleness of Clean To Sublime, I’m recommending the products just about to anyone who use makeup ^0^

Hi all ^__^
I’ve been using this make up remover that really is a saver for me. The wipes are soft and delicate even for my eyes. I’ve done a bit of review regarding the product —> HERE! But this is my update after using Biore Make Up Remover, Cleansing Oil Sheet for months and months I’m still in love of how the wipes really act like an eraser and wipe all the makeup off in the simplest way possible. I also use a fake lashes occasionally and the glue sometime just difficult to be cleaned with cleansing oil, foam, etc, but this wipes does it!

I also use infallible eye liner and the wipes just clean the waterproof liner in a jiffy. No more going to bed with my eyes piling on makeups, all clean and I’m off to bed. Eyes are always my trickiest part when cleansing oils may cause some blur if I use them to close on the eyes, but this wipe is the answer.

Perfect for any type of makeup, water proof or not, sensitive areas or just about anything. I give the product 5 out of 5 star for being budget friendly and highly effective yet gentle.
