Category: Nail Care

Hi all!

From my last trip to Tokyo, I bought this nail remover as I was waiting alone in the Airport and thinking of doing a solo manicure. Liquid is limited in the aircraft, so this thing comes to me as a very handy nail polish remover.

The acetone free nail color remover comes in 10 individual sheets. All the details is in Japanese, since it’s an easy instruction, it’s can be done easily. But I’ve found some details from my favorite Japan Online Shop http://www.jshoppers.com:

Nail polish remover sheets in a handy small size. With just one you can remove layered enamel and even stubborn sparkling polishes. A large size you can use on both hands! Contains German chamomile and other ingredients that keep your nails strong. Its faint scent comes from the natural aroma of the orange oil. ●Contains propylene carbonate, ethanol, orange oil, chamomile extract, BG, others
●Instructions: Wipe nail with a gentle pushing motion.
●Use 1 pack each time.
●Contains oil to aid in the removal of enamel. If bothered by this, wipe leftover oil with a tissue, etc.
10 Uses (2.7ml x 10)
●Made in Japan

This is the sachet of one sheet per piece.

A lavender colored packaging, cute isn’t it?!

This is it, the white sheet that cleans my nail colors. It was so moist, well, wet to be precise and oily.

For me one sheet is enough for 10 fingers, no more. I have to use 2 sheets for the hand and feet. After 10 nails usually the sheets already so full of nail colors, leaving a greasy after effect. The scent compared to the ones with acetone is definitely milder. Regular nail color remover (with acetone) also drying and evaporate pretty fast, this one is the contrary. Sometime I need another sheet of clean cotton since there’s still some liquid left on the nails.

The nail polish is easily clean with the liquid alone but I think I like it more if the sheet is thicker, the wide and length is enough, just wishing it was thicker since it feels so thin on the nails and if it is thicker it would be able to ‘get’ more nail colors all at once.

Overall, I like the simplicity to be able to clean my nail polish anywhere anytime without the need of separate cotton and a bottle of acetone, the scent is way milder than acetone and doesn’t make the nail nor fingers dry. But I dislike the ‘oiliness’ (which actually later can be cleaned with soap and water) and the sheet is too thin.

Score? 7,5 out of 10, so it’s still a wonderful product for me ^__^

A Simple Nail Tutorial

Hi all!

This tutorial is mainly for my sister who couldn’t even do this super simple look XD it’s not yet a nail art but she is overwhelmed. Let’s start with a basic, a nude color for the base and it can be your daily french manicure look. But when you’re going to a party, let’s bling it a big but without the superstar extravaganza.

By glitz it up at the tip only. Sparkles is just lovely but those whose been using a lot of nail color understand the difficulty of cleaning it up, let’s just say 2-3 times more difficult that cleaning just a color. So using only at the tips made the look a bit more glamour without the fuss.

Carefully put the sparks on a fully coated nude colored nails, you do able to use just about any color you wish and by trial and error you might surprise yourself. Now regarding the sparks, you wont get that thick on a go, you might want to repeat several times. The longer your nails are the better the result is and stick only on the white part, if you put to much space, it’ll make your nails look shorter aka not nice.

Happy trying! And I told you it’s simple ^__-

Waiting in Narita for 5 hours is really too much, next time I’ll just take the train and see the nearby cities. Or, you can just sit around and enjoy your time and relax there. They provide a shower and room for a nap (with a fee of course) and many shops to indulge your last minute urge. I say around 3 hours you’ll see them all and be satisfied.

The selection of food also not bad, from food court to restaurants and those lovely mini marts will do you good, whether you have 250 yen or 25.000 yen you’ll find a way to spend it and be happy.

I bought this mini nail polish and it suit the standard carry on baggage policy, I can have a pretty nail color in no time. I found 65 better with one stroke each. Double stroke seems messy and unnatural. Love the soft pearliesh color and how it dries quite fast, not as fast as a quick dry but still okay.

The color gives my nails a more healthier look plus sophistication too ^^

For hard duty hand that wash dishes, laundry, etc the polish lash 3-4 days top. But of you’re a princess, it’ll last more than a week.

It’s my birthday and I’m having a girl’s time at Sassi Nails Gandaria City branch. After making an appointment, me and my girls are going there. No thanks to the traffic jam we were 2 hours late, yet when we arrived the staffs are still so friendly and the atmosphere there is still fun.

These are the choices of the extensions and art you can do for your nails, there are a lot isn’t it. I have difficulties picking which one. But since I have to juggle with daily routine at home like washing the laundry and do the dishes, extensions are not my option.
These are the services for hands, there are still many add on like for french tips, gradations, painting and 3D.
3 of us are having basic and ultimate spa manicure.

Services for our toes, again classic and ultimate too.
And look just like in manicure, they have a service for little missy too (below 12 years old).
A simple yet sassy logo ^_-

Service area where music video is on all the times and choices of nail color are presented.

Look at this at the counter area, they do take care your nails accordingly.

On your way into the service area you can see this, they are located inside Metro Gandaria City, which is a bit secluded.
Promo until 26 of August, don’t missed it ^_^
After cleaning my hands, buffing, and clearing the cuticles, this is my nails afterwards, diamond shape is my favorite.
Both of my girls nails are really short since one of them is a pianist and another, well, she just have a very short nails heehee, and none of us choose extensions.
Mine, afterwards. Love how natural it looks and pretty neat too.
Drying the nails are a breeze here with the air machine, but one of the chairs are broken, I love the massaging chairs.
She choose colorful designs.

Our review: All of us really like how friendly the staffs are. From the minute we are in until we are out they stay that way. Ms.Puji patiently wait for all of us made our choices, which took a while since we all excited and don’t know what to choose. The store are lovely and clean, we like the simple minimalism layout. But we all wish we can switch the TV into something else and all the chairs can function well. All of us also agree the treatment and coloring process is wonderful, everything is done with gentle care and one of my girls have a scaly feet and the staff kept buffing the sole until they all so soft and smooth, trust me it took a really long time.

My honest opinion, come and try their services, you’ll enjoy the friendly atmosphere and have a pretty nails good time here. The are professional, they will tell you what can and can’t be done, if you are clueless they can help you by suggesting the color and designs suitable for your nails. My advice: wear a sandal when you come here to have a pedicure ^_^

>instant manicure – TALIKA

>

This is the first time I tried an instant manicure. It is said on the packaging “instant whitening & coating oxygen treatment”.

1. Pour the effervescent powder into enough tepid water to cover nails completely. Use about 5 fl.oz.

2. Soak and wiggle fingers in the solution for about 3 minutes

3. Gently dry with soft cloth

So there I go and open the sachet, I use the whole set for 1 treatment.

After I poured some water just enough to cover the nails area, it immediately bubbling. So I put my nails inside and wiggle.

The bubbles last about 45 second before settling down to cloudy blue solution that scented. It was okay, definitely not smelly, fragrant but not a fresh scent, more like musk flowery. The scent last for about 30 minutes after using the product.

After finishing my 3 minutes, I dry it with a clean soft cloth, it feels like a thin film covering the area that using the solution. Giving my nails a transparent glow. For whiter I don’t see it but my nails are white enough and so far been receiving complement for the thickness and how strong it is. So perhaps if you have a nails that not too white due to constant nail polishing or other reason, you might find the whitening effect works.
